Year 12 PG and Total IA marks
We would like to thank the Y12 teachers that have entered their PG and Total IA marks in the Office 365 spreadsheet links. If you have not done so please do it before 9 March 2017. The exception is for Arts, which can enter their grades before 20 March 2017.
Here are the next stages:
1. We are going to enter your IA grades to the IBIS starting on next week.
2. The IBIS will then select sample of candidates whose IAs will be submitted. I will inform you the candidate names once it is generated.
3. Beside the work, we will also upload the mark for each IA criteria, teacher's marking comment and forms (if applicable) for the selected candidates. If you have provided comment inside the student's work then you do not have to write additional comment, just state it (something like: comment is provided in the candidate's work). Please ensure that there is only candidate code as the identifier inside student's work and in your comment. No school name, school code, candidate number and candidate name. We will use spreadsheet and school server for this purpose. Kindly prepare the information required so that we can go through this process smoothly and more efficiently.
Feel free to contact Ibu Vica and Ibu Widy if you have question.
MYP Update
We plan on issuing the grades for personal project to the students on March 17.
Y9 is being introduced to the process. They have had one
submission, and will have two more this year.
The use of
daily Lesson Objectives displayed and shared with students each class is an
instructional practice at Global Jaya.
Lesson objectives can be displayed on the board throughout a lesson,
projected on a screen, or put on ManageBac. Lesson Objectives work best when they are 'weaved' througout the lesson and students understand there purpose. See p 12 of the “MYP-DP Teacher Guide” for more information, or the
attached “Summary of Lesson Objectives”. Both can be found on the “MYP-DP
Resource” Tab of the MYP-DP Blog.
Please use these resources to keep yourself up to
date with the evolving landscapes and horizons of 21 century approaches to
teaching and learning. Knowing your resources and planning based on available
information is a great way to demonstrate 'Lifelong Learning'.
Thank you very much,
Patrick and Vica
