Year 2 GJS Year 7 Individuals and Society and PHE Sept

Global Context: Identities and Relationships
Key Concept:  Change

Year 7 students attend the overnight, 5 day trip to Yogyakarta. To prepare for this the students practice the three steps reflection in PHE and in Humanities. They use the Three Steps reflection on the trip to reflect on their learning and on their bonding experiences. After the trip, they write a 'Report on Learning' which includes a portfolio of their learning in the two subjects and a reflection on their interdisciplinary learning. This is assessed by the Y7 Humanities and PHE teachers and recorded and reported on MB.

This Unit also has a Service and Action Component as the students work with a local school, and reflect on it in their SA Journal.
