This Week’s Message

We have a short week this week, with no school on Friday. This week we are focusing on reports and exams. Please see the semester information tab above for information on exams and report timelines or Click Here for the Exam schedule emailed by Pak Edi

For the past month, the MYP and DP have been gathering samples of Units (DP) and assessment (MYP and DP) We would like to thank you for working on this. This needs to be done by the end of the semester to prepare for the Visit in April.

Important message for teachers of Year 10

·     Final product for PP due on Thursday, Nov 30.

·        Monday, Dec 4 the Year 10 Service and Action journal is due

·        Weds Dec 6 the exams begin (NO Individual and Societies Exam for y 10 this year)

The reason this is so tight is that we cannot move the SA journal to an earlier date because it will land on PP work. We cannot move the SA journal to a later date because it will fall on exams.  We are doing our best to communicate this to students so they can manage their time. Please support us in this if year 10 students have questions.

Personal Project Corner

Submission: Thursday, November 30, 2017, before 7.25 am

1.      Part A, B, and part C strand i. (C i. addresses the product)

2.      Academic Honesty Form

3.      Work cited (including in-text citations in the body)

4.      Appendix with evidence of product in it.

The supervisor should Meet the student in the week Nov 27-30.

Service and Action corner

All MYP students are completing and submitting their Semester 1 Service and Action Journals to the IB office.

• Y 7 Submitted their Semester 1 journal on Oct 30 (ALL Students Submitted it!!!)
• Y8 Submitted  Mon Nov 13
• Y9 Submitted Mon Nov 20
• Y10 Due Dec 4 (one week after the PP interim submission)

There is one SA Curriculum link for each year of the program. The units that are linked to SA are:

• Y7 Hum and PHE IDU Trip to Jogya (DONE)
• Y8 Sci Math IDU Trip in April
• Y9 Hum Eng  IDU NHD Presentation
