Welcome back from the IB office! We hope you had a great summer, and we look forward to working with you this year.

This blog will be a source of information for weekly events and information you need to know. This blog will be updated weekly with information about Mon per 7, Extended Tutor Group, and afterschool meetings.

On Thursday morning we will have an online scavenger hunt.  The challenges are listed below:

Check the list as your complete them. Then complete the “See, Think, Wonder” discussion at the end
Go to the OCC

1.      Find a copy of your subject guide (MYP or DP or Both) Download it and save it
2.      Find “Approaches to Teaching and Learning in Diploma”. What is the most important thing to know from this? Why? (DP Coordinator Section)
3.      Find the MYP “FAQ and clarifications” section. What is the most helpful FAQ guide for you? (MYP Coordinator Section)
4.      Find one thing you did not know existed on the OCC. What is it?

1.      Find the “Parent Handbook”. Down load it.
2.      Find the school policies- what policies are available on the page?
3.      Find the school newsletter.
Go to the MYP- DP Blog

1.      Find the MYP-DP Teacher guide. Down load it.
2.      Find the GJS ATL progression. What section did you find it in? What else is in that section
3.      Find the first due date this year the grade 10 students have for Personal Project

The GJS's Teachers Guide to MYP and DP. This contains information on IB Coninum items like Learner Profile, Approaches to Teaching and Approaches to Learning. Assessment in MYP and DP, and citation, refrencing, and academic honesty.  The topic of assessment takes up from p 14-27, making it the largest topic in the guide.

The MYP-DP Teacher Guide will help provide guidance on important questions like

IDU Corner. 
Interdisciplinary Unit steering committee will meet in smaller Year Level groups over the next few weeks to plan specific units for next year.
this year's plans being developed:

Y7 IDU Individuals and Society and PHE, Y 7 Trip
Y8 IDU Math and Science currently During T4
Y9 IDU Language and Lit and Individuals and Society During T 3 and 4

Y 10 Bonding Trip in September .
