This Week’s Message

Welcome back from a long weekend. I hop everyone who celebrated Easter was treated well by the Easter Bunny (Yes, ‘hop’ was a pun, not a type-o). There are a number of extended weekends and short weeks this term as well as a late start and sports assembly this Weds. National exams are also taking place for Y 9 this week. Please plan accordingly to fit all instruction and assessment smoothly into the term to reduce stress on yourself and the students.

On the tab above labeled ‘T 4 Information’ you will find more information about report writing and semester exams. Under the 'Resources'  tab you will find a new section called 'Unit Development’ containing information to help with writing units for DP and MYP. When you scroll down this post you will find an update on Weds late start, Friday’s extended tutor groups, DP exams, MYP Personal Projects, Service and Action, and some information and reminders about assessment.

Joke of the week:

How do you know the Easter Bunny is really smart?

Because he's an egghead.

'Why do I/you teach?' This is very basic question we, as teacher, always ask ourselves. We have some relevant answers of this question as well. If you want to know other perspective about it, please follow the link the link below.

Some important things to keep in mind as you plan for Term 4 assessments:

Students in a subject specific year level share the same summative tasks for a unit, and teach the same units.
Summative assessments and due dates are posted on Managebac before the due date
Assignments should be set on MB to be due during class meeting times
Results will be posted on Managebac gradebook within 10 business days
From the IB Office, thank you very much, and have a great week,

Patrick and Vica
