This Week's Message

Welcome back to a short week! There is no school Friday, and we are blessed with a number of upcoming three day weekends. Please remember to plan accordingly to be sure your instruction and assessment fits smoothly into this busy Term 4.

This week’s update includes some information on the bottom about assessment and planning for assessment; please be sure to scroll to the bottom and see it. There is also information under the 'T4 information' tab above about T 4 Report writing deadlines and process as well as exam dates.  More information will be added shortly about T4 written report comments. Please use these resources to stay up to date.

And remember, individually we are many small cute goldfish, together we are one big, strong, beautiful gold shark.

Planning for Term 4 Assessment?

To help with your Assessment Planning for Term 4, please see the “Assessment” section of the “MYP-DP Teacher Guide” Pg. 14.

Some important things to keep in mind as you plan for Term 4 assessments:

·        Students in a subject specific year level share the same summative tasks for a unit to ensure parity of treatment and reliability of assessment results
·        Summative assessments and due dates are posted on Managebac before the due date
·        Assignements should be set on MB to be due during class meeting times
·        Results will be posted on Managebac gradebook  within 10 business days

From the IB Office, thank you very much, and have a great week,

Patrick and Vica
