MYP Update
A Big Thank you to all for completing the Personal Project grading. Students who got below a 4 will spend the next two weeks working with the IB office to rewrite appropriate sections of the report. Their grade will not be changed, but they will have demonstrated they have met the minimal Personal Project Requirements to progress. Note, students still need to meet other requirements like the number of points they earn, attendance, service action requirements.

We are introducing Y9 to the process. They have had one submission, and will have two more this year.

MYP-DP Assessment

Not sure what to do about late work?
Incomplete work?
Work students did not hand in?
Can you take points off for each day late?
Can you take points off because a student did not put
their name on it?

See the MYP-DP Teacher guide, Pgs. 17-19 for guidance on “Atypical, late or missing work”.

It can be found on the  GJS MYP-DP Blog in the MYP-DP Resources section along with a number of other supporting documents. The Guide can be found under the  "MYP DP Resources" tab above.  or click here   MYP-DP Teache'rs Guide

The MYP-DP Teacher Guide will help provide guidance on important questions like

·        How do I determine Semester Grades…
·        How do I deal with late and missing work…
·        What does correct referencing and citation look like….
·        What should I do about cases of plagiarism …
·        What are expectations for unit development….
·        What are expectations for using ManageBac….?” and more.

Please use these resources to keep yourself up to date with the evolving landscapes and horizons of 21 century approaches to teaching and learning. Knowing your resources and planning based on available information is a great way to demonstrate “Lifelong learning”.

Thank you very much,

Patrick and Vica
