Hello all and welcome back to all teachers! 

For all new teachers here in Global Jaya School, I would like to extend our welcome to the school and hope that you will have a great time here! 

All the new teachers are: 
Chris and Melanie Dickerson, Christine Njoki Mbugua, Jonathon Greenwell, Samantha Roy, Peter Mugo Ngugi, Catherine Norsworthy, Angeline Wong, Boy Faisal, Song Seokin

Some information regarding the first week: 30 July-3 August 2018

  • 30 July - 1 August: Staff PD; the schedule so far is posted in this link
  • 2 August: First day for students; full day. 
                     First day back schedule is as below:

                      07:30 - 08:00   All secondary students to the Theater 
                      08:00 - 08:30   YLM with HOY 
                      08:30 - 09:30   Class set up with Advisors    
                      09:30 - 10:10   Break Time 
                     10:10 - 14:50    Normal class time 
  • Your class timetable is already distributed and it is on your table. Please check, if you have any issue regarding your timetable please inform Pak Edi (edi@globaljaya.com)
  • Please be informed that Pak Nana's room has been relocated to be near the MPH. Pak Edi will send out the details and schedule for borrowing textbooks. 
  • Ibu Tamara's office has also relocated to the room in front of the canteen.

I will end the blog on a happy note, (and because I just love eating together) I would like to invite all secondary teachers for a "Selametan", a celebratory meal of sorts. Because my department (MFL-Lang Acq) staff room just moved out of the 3rd floor and will be joining the English-Bahasa Indonesia department staff room on the 2nd floor. 

The celebration will be on Friday, August 3rd, starting at 12:00 - Finish, at the Languages Staff Room (Building A, 2nd Floor). There will be "Nasi Kuning" or yellow rice and assorted Indonesian food. Feel free to join us!
