1.End of Year MYP Grade
See the GJS MYP-DP Guide Pgs. 19-23 for more details.
The final MYP grade is an end of year grade that includes data from the full year. Below is information on how to determine the final level of achievement. Managebac gives you an easy to read bar graph of the grades in a criterion to help you with this.
Determining the final level of achievement for a criterion- MYP
In order to determine the final level of achievement for a criterion at the end of the year, the following questions should be asked:
a. What does the most recent evidence tell us about the student’s level of achievement?
b. What is the “Highest sustained achievement” in that criterion since the beginning of the year?
c. In your best professional judgment, based on all available evidence, which grade level descriptor best fits the student achievement in this criterion at this time?
Below are examples of summative grades for a specific criterion, and how the final level of achievement for that criterion was determined.
Examples: Criteria C
3
|
4
|
3
|
Final Level: 3
|
Best sustained + most recent evidence. There is no progression of improvement. 4 was not sustained, three is the highest sustained level.
|
2
|
4
|
5
|
Final Level: 5
|
First mark is the start of a clear progression towards the current achievement of 5, the most recent evidence. Assuming learning continuums and formative assessment also demonstrated this progression, 5 would be appropriate. If not 4, because 5 has not yet been sustained, and the progression is not fully supported by other work.

3
|
Final Level: 5
|
Best sustained overrides most recent. Assuming the formative assessment and learning continuums demonstrated sustained achievement in this descriptor, the 3 could be considered “Anomalous”. However, if the summative 3 is matched by formative assessments and learning continuums that show the 5 is not sustained and the 3 is not anomalous, a 4 could be considered.

See the GJS MYP-DP Guide Pgs. 19-23 for more details.
Here is a video clip for Managebac that may help guide you through this.

For MYP: Only report on the ATL skill assessed in your current unit. If you want to mention difficulty with another ATL skill, mention it in the comment instead.
2. Filling in the Personal Project Grades on Report Cards
Below is the guide that was shared by Ibu Popy for filling Personal Project Grades into the report. Please see communications from Ibu Popy

3. End of Year Reporting Timeline
> 25 May
All grades (exclude exam grade), ATL skills and comments are in ManageBac
> 30 May
All grades (include exam grade), ATL skills and comments are in ManageBac
> 31 May
All reports are done
We assume you planned your assessments and firm submission deadlines with sufficient time to grade and comment on them in the report. The biggest disruption to the reporting process comes from teachers who ask for an extension because work has not been submitted or assessed yet.
Do not give a 0 (zero) in any of the criteria unless that is the correct “best fit” grade. Since this is an end-of-year report, it should be nearly impossible for anyone to deserve a 0.
Remember the new Progression Policy requires students to achieve a 3 or higher in every non-core subject in order to automatically pass. A 1 or 2 does not automatically mean they fail to progress, but it does mean they can only progress on contract if they successfully fulfill other criteria for progression.
For MYP: Only report on the ATL skill assessed in your current unit. If you want to mention difficulty with another ATL skill, mention it in the comment instead.
For DP: Year 11 reports should be a cumulative representation of where the student is at the end of Year 11, not just a Term 4 report. In the last sentence of your report, please also include what topics remain to be covered in Year 2 of the course.
