MONDAY Afternoon
Half Day for Students, Teacher PD. We will work in cross school teams to reflect on learning and student experiences in school looking at parts of the school we often do not visit with people we often do not work with.
Hopefully this will have us see the school the way an outside visiting might see it, and help us think about what happens in school in a way that is different from what we see in our daily routines.
See communication from Principals for more.

This week’s
message
Welcome Back! We have a lot happening over the next few weeks
to prepare for the WASC IB Visit. An important reason for the visit is to have
us reflect on student learning in our school.
To help gain a better
overview of things happening please see the different sections of this blog. On
the top you will see tabs that can fill you in on the:
- Interdisciplinary units taught this year
- Building Quality Curriculum feedback over the past 3 years
- Service and Action Curriculum links this year
- ATL Progression and Planning Chart
- Feedback from Classroom Walkthroughs to improve instruction and learning
In addition, there is helpful information in the MYP-DP
Teacher Guide. For example in the appendix of the guide you will find the Unit Completion
Checklist for both MYP (P49) and DP (P52). These cheklists included detailed information about what to include in units.
Please take time to survey the table of contents
to see if you can find answers to questions you have about our curriculum. There is alot of information in the guide including supporting information on strategies for Assessment, Differentiation, Teaching Concepts, and more.
Please use this in conjunction with the feedback on units
from BQC. In many cases the feedback is very detailed, explicit, and helpful
including guidance on how to enter information into the MB Unit Planner
interface.
Have a great week,
Patrick, Ram, and......Ibu Danni!
